What Is a Flat Headstone?
Flat Headstone, also known as Grass Markers, Flat Markers, Flush, or Lawn Level markers, derive the name from the fact that they are normally installed into the ground, with only the top face showing.
They are the simplest form of granite memorial and they are typically all straight without angled surfaces.

What Is a Bevel Marker?
Bevel Markers, also called Pillow Markers or Hickey markers, are very simple memorials. The most common style, which is shown here, has a straight angled top surface.
Bevel markers are similar to flat markers but include a slight slope from back to front. This raised profile makes them easier to read while still maintaining a low overall height.
The back is generally 2 inches taller than the front.
